Guess Who’s REALLY Back? Last night during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, the network aired a trailer for Eminem’s long-awaited eighth studio album MMLP2 (The Marshall Mathers LP 2), and now the king of hip hop has released the newest single, “Berzerk,” which samples Billy Squier's hit 1981 song "The Stroke."

In signature mixtape style, the boom box anthem opens as Slim Shady gives a party commandment: "Take your shoes off, let your hair down, go berserk all night long." Later he blares, "Let's take it back to straight hip-hop and start it from scratch." Next, Slim, donning his trademark blond buzz cut, charges in with urgency: "We're gonna rock this house until we knock it down, so turn the volume loud." Later he declares, "Fuck it, before we kick the bucket. Life's too short, to not go for broke."

Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin are the executive producers of MMLP2, out Nov. 5. Eminem's eighth studio album follows 2010's Recovery, which bowed at No. 1 in Billboard with 741,000 copies.

Listen to the new song "Berzerk" after the jump. Watch the trailer for MMLP2 and Enjoy! And, if you’re ready to take Em's advice and "go for broke," don’t forget to scroll down further and check the trailer for my new book about the Detroit rapper, Eminem: The Real Slim Shady, where it all gets broken down. Cheers!
